Egan Lectures at Court Mandated Training for Receivers

Egan & Golden, LLP Partner, Brian T. Egan, Esq. recently invited by the Dean of the Suffolk Academy of Law to deliver a lecture on the Use and Process of Receivers and Receiverships. The seminar is required by the New York State Unified Court System for lawyers who wish to qualify for appointment by the Court as Receivers. Egan has widely lectured on the topic of Receivers and has been appointed by Supreme Court Justices to serve as Receiver in a variety of complex commercial and real property disputes. The lecture covered procedural and substantive aspects of receiverships including a review of Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge, the appointment process, purposes and types of receiverships, procedural issues, termination of receivership, commissions, disbursements, secondary appointments and extraordinary expenses and issues involving insurance, liability and more.
