In various forms,
the partners of the firm have been involved for many
years in the practice of public law, i.e.,
representation of public and private clients in matters
of federal, state and local regulatory concern. Many
such matters were in the non-litigation context, e.g.,
application for zoning variances, for approval of the
extension of various municipally-owned or sponsored
sewer or water districts, environmental matters, and the
disciplining of public employees. Many involved
providing outside advice to public officials and bodies
at the state and local levels of government.
Lawyers from the firm routinely appear before the New
York State Department of Environmental Conservation in
the negotiation and adjudication of our clients'
environmental concerns.
