William McQuaid Duffy, Esq. - Of Counsel

William McQuaid Duffy received his B.A. in Political Science from SUNY Stony Brook, and received a J.D. with distinction from Hofstra University School of Law where he served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal and was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in the study of Constitutional Law.  Mr. Duffy served in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney where he prosecuted felony and misdemeanor criminal cases.  Upon leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Duffy entered private practice where his practice focused on criminal defense and civil litigation. He has wide experience litigating Article 78 proceedings, breach of contract actions, real property actions and proceedings, and eminent domain proceedings, representing applicants before local zoning and planning boards and other municipal agencies, and defending property owners accused of town code violations.  Mr. Duffy defends individuals accused of a wide array of felony and misdemeanor offenses in courts throughout Suffolk, Nassau and Queens Counties.  Mr. Duffy is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association, the Brehon Society and is a veteran of four years of service with the United States Marine Corps.
